The MLC1036 is a voice synthesis LSI with external MASK ROM, EPROM, or Flash Memory for voice storage. This employs MLPCM voice coding algorithm and utilizes a low power CMOS technology for portable applications.

*MLPCM : Advanced voice coding method based on the modified ADPCM algorithm that is developed by MCS Logic.
